How to remove a stage from a workflow.
To remove a stage from a workflow route you need to delete any steps going from the stage and edit and steps that go to the stage. Follow the steps below:
This is also covered in this video:
- Click on the Config menu (Superuser access required)
- Click on Edit workflow systems.
- Drill into the appropriate workflow system by clicking on the pencil icon to the right of the system name.
- Click on the Routes tab.
- Choose the route you wish to update in the Select workflow route dropdown.
- Scroll down to the visual workflow editor and find the job stage you are removing (stages are blue rectangles). If the stage says x jobs then you have active jobs on this stage, you will need to move these backwards to an earlier stage or progress them to the next stage before you can delete the last step that goes 'from' this stage or the stage itself.
- For any steps (these are the grey rectangles) that go to your stage click on the pencil icon to edit the step and change the to stage to a different stage.
- Delete any steps (grey rectangles) that go from this stage (i.e. the arrow goes away from your stage) by clicking on the X icon on the step.
- This stage has now been removed from this workflow route. Repeat for any other workflow routes you wish to remove the stage from.
- Once removed from all routes you can delete the stage if you wish to, follow these steps:
- Click on the Elements tab.
- Scroll down to the Job stages.
- Find your stage and click the red cross to delete it.
