How to send credit notes from Glide to Xero
Once you have set up a connection to your Xero system and linked any existing clients you can benefit from integration of sales credit notes.
Sales credit notes raised in Glide are not instantly sent to Xero. If you wish to send a credit note to Xero then you should follow these steps:
- Click on the menu labelled with your business name.
- Click on the billing summary link.
- Find the row for the specific credit note you wish to send to Xero.
- Click on the blue Xero button on the right hand side of the row.
- Your credit note will now have been sent to Xero, confirmation of success should appear in a pop up window. You can open the credit note in Xero using the deep link on the billing summary row, on the credit note itself (i.e. the page that opens when you click on the net amount or credit note number when on the billing summary) and also on the invoices tab of the client card.
Glide will share the following information with Xero:
- The client details.
- The credit note date.
- The credit note number (leave this blank if you wish to use the number generated automatically in Xero).
- The VAT rate.
- The credit note totals.
