How to link Glide with your Xero Accounting system
You can link Glide to your Xero Accounting system. The benefit of doing so would be that clients created in Glide would be set up as Contacts in Xero with future changes you make in Glide being sent to Xero. For those Glide customers that use Glide Time, invoices can also be sent to, and pulled in from, the Xero system.
The linking process requires a single Glide user to log into Xero once. It is that specific user that is authenticating the integration. If this user leaves your business then you will need to repeat this process. Please ensure the user has full access rights to your Xero organisation.
To link your systems please follow these steps:
- Click on the Config menu (superuser access required).
- Click on the Xero integration link.
- Click on the green Activate button, this is in the top right corner of the screen.
- Next click on the Connect to Xero button, this button contains a Xero logo as shown in the image below.
- Next Sign in to your Xero account. If you are already logged into Xero (on the same browser) then this step will happen automatically.
- Next Xero will ask you to allow Glide access to your Xero organisation. If your Xero account has access to multiple organisations (as is often the case with Accountants) - please be very careful to ensure you select the correct organisation, your own business. Click Allow access to complete the process.
