What data is sent to Xero and when?
The Glide --> Xero integration will share the following information. All information is sent from Glide to Xero. The ability to pull invoices form Xero into Glide is the only example of data coming from Xero. New clients and changes to client data need to be made in Glide in order to benefit from the integration.
Client data shared:
- The client name.
- The client code -> populates the Contact Code in Xero.
- The main e-mail address on the Glide client card -> populates the primary person e-mail in Xero. (Requires a config option to be set)
- The main address on the Glide client card -> populates the Postal address in Xero. (Requires a config option to be set)
When does Glide create a client in Xero?
- When a new client is created in the Glide system this client will be searched for and, if not found, created in Xero.
- The existing client search in Xero is searching on the name, if a client with the exact same name is found in Xero then Glide will link your new client to this existing client.
- Please double check any links for individuals with identical first and last names.
- There is a setting in Glide to allow you to not integrate individuals.

Invoice data shared:
- Invoice date.
- Invoice net, tax and gross amounts.
- Invoice line item descriptions and amounts.
When are invoices/credit notes sent to Xero?
- Invoices -> Instantly when an invoice is generated in Glide so long as the following conditions are met:
- The Glide system is connected to a Xero system.
- The client in Glide is connected to a client in Xero.
- The global setting 'Do not send Glide generated bills to Xero?' is set to No (this is the default setting).
- The client specific Xero option 'Never send bills' has not been activated on this client.
- The invoice amount is > £0 unless the global setting Send £0 bills to Xero has been set to Yes (this will default to No).
- Credit notes -> these are manually sent to Xero by clicking the blue Xero button on the right hand side of the row on the billing summary screen (this is found in the menu labelled with your business name) so long as the following conditions are met:
- The Glide system is connected to a Xero system.
- The client in Glide is connected to a client in Xero.
- The global setting 'Do not send Glide generated bills to Xero?' is set to No (this is the default setting).
- The client specific Xero option 'Never send bills' has not been activated on this client.
When are invoices created in Xero sent to Glide?
- Invoices -> At 5:45am each day so long as the following conditions are met:
- The Glide system is connected to a Xero system.
- The client in Xero is connected to a client in Glide.
- The invoice in Xero relates to a customer that exists in Glide.
- The invoice in Xero does not exist in Glide.
- The global setting 'Pull Xero generated bills into Glide' is set to Yes.
- Credit notes -> Credit notes created in Xero are not pulled into Glide.
